Live Photo Frequently Picks Closed Eye Frames as Key Photos.
Subject: Live Photo Often Selects Blink as Key Photo
Lately, I’ve noticed that when I take portrait photos with Live Photo enabled, more than 3 out of 10 photos end up selecting a frame where the subject’s eyes are closed as the key photo.
I rely on the Live Photo feature, so turning it off isn’t a viable option. However, manually changing the key photo results in a noticeable drop in image quality.
It seems the algorithm for automatically selecting the key photo could use some improvement, especially when it comes to identifying more flattering frames.
