So, to clarify, you’re trying to distinguish between two cases:
* The user launches your app by tapping its icon on the Home screen.
* The user launches your app by tapping the Open button shown on the app’s page within the App Store app.
Is that correct?
If so, there’s is no supported way to distinguish these cases. You are free to file an enhancement request for Apple to add an API for this but, as of right now, there’s no way to do it.
