Audio Dropouts in Final Cut Pro
Subject: Audio Dropouts in Final Cut Pro with DJI Osmo Action 5 and Action 6 Footage
Hello,
I am experiencing recurring audio dropouts in Final Cut Pro.
The audio intermittently cuts out during editing. When I quit and reopen Final Cut Pro, the locations and pattern of the dropouts change slightly. These dropouts are also present in the exported video, matching what I hear during playback in Final Cut Pro.
This issue occurs frequently when editing footage recorded with DJI Osmo Action 5 and Action 6 cameras.
Here is what I have confirmed so far:
- The original camera files play normally without audio dropouts when played outside Final Cut Pro.
- Both the original media and the Final Cut Pro library are stored on my MacBook’s internal SSD.
- I use Voice Isolation or Noise Removal on some clips, but the issue also occurs on clips without these features enabled.
- I reset Final Cut Pro preferences by holding Option + Command while launching the app, but the issue persists.
Are there any known compatibility issues or audio processing bugs involving footage from these cameras? Please advise on troubleshooting steps and any additional information needed to diagnose the problem.
I can provide original footage and exported videos demonstrating the issue if needed.
Thank you for your assistance.
